Sjhamina - 24 Nov 2004 21:29 GMT For the ones celebrating Thanksgiving tomorrow have a great one :o) We will probably have chinese since we are cooking on Saturday. No sense in cooking a big turkey day dinner for just the 2 of us........maybe I can go pick up a couple Swansons or Banquet Turkey Dinners........beep beep hahaha (the hubby, cats and dog all run to the kitchen when they hear the beep so SAD)

No sense [quoted text clipped - 4 lines] > (the > hubby, cats and dog all run to the kitchen when they hear the beep so SAD) You have a good Thanksgiving too, Jules. We're staying home this year and we ordered the Boston Market turkey dinner. Meat, potatoes, gravy, stuffing and cornbread. Nice and simple. And easy cleanup. That's the best part. :-) Wendy
Lori - 25 Nov 2004 00:02 GMT Oh for pete sake!!! How do you get off so easy. All of my kids expect me to cook, Turkey and all the trimmings. Mind you they may come early but to help me get it ready is not part of there pan I guess. I get the "when will it be ready?' crap. Clean up, my job also. Just once I would love to put a note on the door after I tell them what time to be here, "Gone to a restaurant with your Dad, this way I can sit back and watch someone else do all the work, like I have done for you kids for 27 yrs. ENJOY!!!!" Love, Mom and Dad.
Sjhamina - 25 Nov 2004 00:22 GMT HA why don't you do that??? Just dont tell them what restaurant!!
I just got a new dishwasher.....my daughter is VERY Thankful for that!! I said I didnt NEED a new dishwasher, I had one coming on Saturday (when the kid got here!) Last year for Thanksgiving my BIL brought his gf over........lazy b*tch ate and told him "Lets go" after I busted my a.s all day THEN I had to clean up the mess too! I was furious. Didn't much care for her to begin with, damn sure don't like her at all now.

Love, Mom and Dad. Donna in NC - 25 Nov 2004 01:35 GMT My nephew's wife does that exact same thing everytime we all get together. Like you, I didn't like her to begin with and NOW I hate her!!!

Everyone came for Thanksgiving dinner yesterday and, of course, that bitch was the first to eat and the first to 'have to go home because the kids were tired'... She never does one thing to help with the preparations or to clean up the damned mess!

wendy - 26 Nov 2004 02:02 GMT > Oh for pete sake!!! How do you get off so easy. LOL! I've done my time for the last 15 yrs going from one side of NY to the other visiting both families. All in one day. So, I figured this year what the hell? We're staying home. It worked out fine since my daughter had the flu and she wouldn't have been in the best holiday mood. Nothing like a cranky 15 month old to bring a party down. haha
All of my kids expect me

Will you do that next year? LOL
Lori - 26 Nov 2004 03:31 GMT Wendy, My daughter called twice today to find out what time dinner would be ready, hurray for me, the second call I told her "It will be ready as soon as you come and help me get it ready", of course she got here after it was ready so I waited just until her and the hubby were making for the door to tell her she wasn't leaving until she helped clean all the dishes up. Well she did the whole kitchen, dishes and all while I just handed the dishes to her, and stood around drinking coffee. Then her hubby said "I would love to cook you a holiday dinner some time", I said " What time is dinner Christmas as I won't be cooking now that you offered". Bet he is sorry he opened that mouth.
Sjhamina - 26 Nov 2004 19:08 GMT HAHAHAHA he opened his mouth!! My daughter probably wont help......we will see. My hubby will probably help me clean the kitchen. (I am cooking today instead of tomorrow) He threw the turkey in this morning but he still had to call me at work!! haha Men. At least he is trying. He did clean the house though so I can't complain.
>"I would love to cook you a holiday dinner some time", I said >" What time is dinner Christmas as I won't be cooking now that you >offered". Bet he is sorry he opened that mouth. Sjhamina - 25 Nov 2004 00:07 GMT Chinese is easy cleanup too LOL
I did buy a 12 pound turkey and a 12 pound smoked turkey and all the fixin's for Saturday when my daughter gets here. I didn't want to cook dinner tomorrow and feed them leftovers hahaha Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday of all time......this will be the first time there has just been the 2 of us....for ANY holiday. Its going to be weird and I dont know what to do.......guess I will figure something out.

Great Idea but we live too far away from the nearest Boston Market. I am sick but going to somehow find the energy to cook later. I am making a roast turkey breast (small), potatoes, stuffing, cranberries...blah blah. Hubby is all thumbs in the kitchen so I will have to cook. I wish I felt better...YUCKO. Was in bed most of the day yesterday. My whole body aches all over. Fighting the flu or something...
Sheri - 25 Nov 2004 13:45 GMT Lu, I hope you get to feeling better. Flu shots have run out up here, so I won't be getting one (never had one anyway).
