A good basis for simple webpage design for an information site is black type on a white background with blue for hyperlinks. To be easy to read a web page should have sensibly sized type. A margin left and right top and bottom so that text that stops before it gets to the edges of the page. When you finish building your page it's a good idea to try looking it with lots of different browsers on on different system softwares and different platforms so you know that it still works on Netscape 4 on a ten year old Mac running System 7 or whatever else your hoped for reader might be using. Is there some sort of 'bad design disease' virus spreading through the USA, is something that only affects the adoption community. The colours that I use work excellently well together, unlike the pastel blue and purple (or is it mauve?) on light lavender vomit , that you've come up with. There are lots of colours that work well together in web design. Black and white are the only two that are completely unambiguous there are no 'shades' of black and white, they are absolutes, anything in-between is grey. Therefore 'black on white' is very easy for an idiot such as yourself to understand, whereas the colours that I tend to use, like for instance hex #990000 text on #CCCC99 background are somewhat more difficult for a colour-blind cretin to understand or envisage, hence I tend to suggest to anyone as aesthetically challenged as you obviously are, that they should stick to black on white. I pity anyone who commissions Visual Net Design, but I guess yours is the only site it (you) has ever designed or ever will.
