Sheri - 26 Aug 2004 03:50 GMT Sorry I have not been active here for a few days. My hard drive crashed and I had to take a few days to get this other computer up and running while I replace and repair the other computer. The squad runs and fire school have been keeping me too busy lately. Miss you all! Warm regards, Sheri
Debbie - 26 Aug 2004 12:18 GMT Sheri: Keep up the good work.I knew you could do it.I am so proud of you and I hope you are even more proud of yourself. Hugs Debbie Hill

Of course!
Here's another serious question? What's the point?
You both suddenly show up in this ng with a hugfest, and nobody knows (or frankly cares) who you are, because guess what? You don't normally post here! You haven't introduced yourselves. We have no idea who the hell you people are? Why NOT take it to email?
Or how about another serious question? If you have to post your "sorry I haven't been here posting because my computer is acting up" and "that's ok and I missed you" crap here (nobody is sorry she hasn't posted or that you've missed her because we don't know who the f.ck either of you are), what are you doing here?
If you have to post it here, how about making it interesting (or at least relevant because NOBODY KNOWS OR CARES WHO THE f.ck YOU ARE) for the rest of us?
Instead of saying,
"Sheri: Keep up the good work.I knew you could do it.I am so proud of you and I hope you are even more proud of yourself. Hugs Debbie Hill"
why don't you say,
"Sheri!
I miss your avid face diving into my hot steaming hair pie! When can I see you again!!
Hugs. Debbie Hill"
For God's sakes. Are you in the wrong NG? Or do you generally invade them and talk nonsense? And then whine because NOBODY KNOWS WHY YOU'RE HERE AND POSTING?

Once you choose a name to use on a newsgroup, it's a good idea to stick to it unless there is some good reason to change it (a good reason might be if you venture in to alt.adoption.issues or some similar nutters playground) I can't see any reason for a sudden complete change of here. It just confuses folks (even more).
BTW you may see spaces between the end of one sentence and the beginning of the next in your post above, I can't, on two different computers, It may be you have problems with your hardware or your software or poor compatibility with google. Google's Google groups is great if you want to post when you're miles from home, otherwise it's crap. If you want to use Usenet why not get proper Usenet software like Agent or FreeAgent.
Robin
Debbie - 28 Aug 2004 14:23 GMT Robin:Thanks for letting me know about the spaces etc.As for posting as 2 different people I tried to use my outlook but remember I told you about the trouble I am having with outlook since installing that supposed Microsoft Critical Service Pack.It keeps disconnecting me from server. When I went to google I could not use my shanahan addy as you have to join with that e mail and go back to your e mail to click on a link.I could not get into my shanahan e mail to do that.I am sorry for the confusion this caused.I am now using my other keyboard so there aren't caps all through.I just do not like this keyboard as it is an ergonomic one.Take care Robin and have a good weekend.Oh by the way I always thought Agent or Free Agent was something you subscribed to like on other Alts so your name,Ip or ISP does not show up.You know like the sock puppets used to use.LOL Sincerely Debbie

Read the NG you are posting to. Know the posters and the audience you are posting that are reading your pissy little rants. Realize that it might not be the little highschool smiley-face, butt-slapping-huggy-kissy-email group you've been posting to.
Get a grip. We didn't send you a solid-gold invitation to post here. If you don't like the responses, don't let the door hit you on the a.s on the way out.
Learn how to use the space bar, you idiot. And stop shouting. You've already gotten more attention than you deserve.

Well, I looked up a few of her posts to other groups and they are anything but huggy, smiley and butt slapping. Her mouth (or rather key hitting hands) seem to be worse than most of ours here put together so I don't know where her righteous attitude is coming from. In fact, from the three posts of hers I could stomach she seems stuck in the highschool rage scene (as in "you talked about my friend, I'm gonna kick yer arse" sort of deal) Oh yeah and the spacing/typing in caps thingy isn't any better...apparently quite a rage filled person (so much so she did time in jail for assault).

Sheri, perhaps you thought all of the alt.adoption newsgroups are linked? I've been posting and/or lurking here since 1997 and can't recall seeing your name. So, an announcement that your computer was on the blink and that's why you haven't been here doesn't make much sense. Sheri - 29 Aug 2004 11:35 GMT Actaully Kathy, I DID make a mistake........I was trying to add the ngs to my Outlook Express in the same manner as I had them on the crashed computer, but this apparently wasn't one of them....and my message went to all of the adoption ngs. My old hard drive was set up to post as Sherilyn if I am not mistaken. You asked me "Where in Ohio".and my anser is that I am FROM Columbus, but now living in Chillicothe. I found my biological family in late Decemeber 1999 and reunited in early 2000 after I had time to heal from my father-in-law's passing which occured in late December 1999. As for "thick skin"........I've got a few layers of it :-) Nice to meet you. Warm regards, Sheri
