Idle thoughts while defrosting a Turkey

Hey all.  I thought I'd drop by and let everyone know who cares (that's you,
Jean--hubba hubba) that I'm still alive and kicking.  Life's been busy
lately (new job, old bills) and if the 3162 unread e-mails that I just
deleted are any indication, I've had little time to communicate with anyone.
So, since I've the day off I decided to clean out the ol' inbox and see
what's new in alt land.

I heard a while back that MA finally passed the baby dump law.  Just goes to
show ya.  You could have Charles Manson pimping these things and they'd get
passed.  I find it interesting that the Ms have set their sights on VT next.
I think they'll have to do a little more than hike from Hinesburg to
Montpelier to ram it through.  My bet is that they'll need a corpse.   So,
when the next dead baby shows up in Massachusetts they can spirit the tiny
cadaver to VT and kill to birds with one stone.  No post SH dead babies in
MA and a wake up call to all the half-witted schubes north o' the border.
Of
course, a few strategic blow-jobs here and there could be a help, as well.

I see that our resident fleshpeddler has succumbed to the widespread
demohysteria that has a firm grip on slightly less than half of our voting
population.  Personally, I couldn't stand either one of the clowns but, to
be frank, if I had to hear JFK (chuckle) talk for the next 4 to 8 years I
would be tempted to deafen myself with two freshly sharpened #2 pencils.
Don't blame me.  I voted for some other Bozo.

I see that Jackie has disappeared.  What's this ng about now?  Must be
something to do with no Hockey night in Canada this year.

I received the alt.adoption Christmas questionnaire Thanks, Marla).  I
printed it, rolled
it up, shoved it up my cat's a.s, set it on fire and extinguished the entire
mess with a well directed stream of urine.  What's that make me?

Anyway, since I've an extra long weekend and the pace of work seems to be
settling into saner winter hours, I'll have time to swing by more often.

I think we've caught a glimpse of your cat in the last few days.  Does it
answer to the name "Scarlett?"

>What's that make me?

Ooh, ooh.  This is way too easy.

 Excellent!

Sadly VT has a Democrat dominated House and Senate. Most tend to be liberals
and way to many are from places like MA. The BSH agenda may get pushed
through especially if it asks for no funding. I plan to watch this one.

Ehhh..Ray, I'm a VT born and bred bastard.  I'm well aquainted with the
politics up there (I transplanted for work).  Trust me.  It'll be a miracle
if the leg ever figures out how fix the property tax mess that they got
themselves into.

Besides, I'm a former student, friend and constituent of the chairperson of
the SAC.  We'll quash this.

Jack
sylak - 25 Nov 2004 14:07 GMT
Jack:

So, you're a woodchuck, eh? I am not sure that the leg is going to fix
anything to do with property taxes and school funding. If a barn has a
rotten foundation you can't fix it painting the cupola. It will be
interesting to see how they do approach it this year. As for the BSH issue,
I'd be just as happy if folks from away stayed away and let us dumb VT
taxpayers sort it out.

Jesus.  I read her crap.  Anutter loonitic fringer.

Actually, I've nothing against two consenting adults performing a repulsive
act.  It's their business.  Not that I can come close to understanding why
anyone would actually wanted to be "adopted back".  Being adopted once was
enough for me.  Hell, I've spent the last couple weeks telling my family and
the in-laws why we're staying home for Thanksgiving.  Last thing I need is
another interested party.

Hey Jack,
Nice to see that you've finally come out of your hole long enough to see all
the wonderful progress we've made here in New England on Baby Safe Haven laws.
Now, why don't you go back to your turkey and stuff it!...And don't forget to
add all the nuts.
Happy Holidays to all,

Geez, Jean, don't you have a baby to save somewhere, a pregnant little match
girl or a drug addicted mother to be in need to medical care to tell about Safe
Havens?  I can't imagine there are any readers left here that need to be told
what they are.

Oh, and about that turkey you wanted Jack to stuf . . .

Like I said, in spite of your wackiness, the thing pushed through anyway.
Congrats.  Whatcha gonna do when you see it doesn't work? Ignore it?

Hubba Hubba, baby!  My wife is a bit miffed at you, though.  The way you
showed up after your victory with a bottle of cheap bubbly and a  loudly
vocalized desire to f.ck the hell out of a "real bastard".  You're a naughty
one, Jean.

We'll do exactly what they're doing in the states of Ohio, CT and CA where the
laws are working exactly as they were intended to. Geting the word out is the
first step. We have the support of the communities, hospitals, fire and
policeman groups, and colleges. Two of the largest campuses have already
published major articles, aired TV program segments, and college radio stations
have a PSA they're airing.

Her being a bit miffed??   Though, I understand that she must be in a total
state of utter confusion being married to you.
Why don't you give her the straight story of how I agreed with the Dick Cheney
quote spoken to Senator Patrick Lahey to  "go F--- Yourself." I said that to a
certain Old Dirty Bastard in the exact same context as the Vice President.
Remember, 99% of the US population now has a Baby Safe Haven law.  With that
percentage going up. No use fighting BSH laws, they're here to stay.
And that makes for Happy Holidays.

That's what people used to say about closed records.  You might want to take
note.

Gee, a couple of adoption lawyers here in Ohio claim that if Ohio's law is
ever challenged in court it will mostly likely be overturned.

And just how are they working. Why did it take the State of Ohio 2 years to
send me information I requested under our Sunshine Law, and then only with
the intervention of a conservative Republican State Rep--and then admit that
they had done no "study" after all--they depend on the word of the counties
with no tracking system and no methodology?  And let's not forget the fiasco
in California last year when they claimed only 1 death when between myself
and  Marjie Lundstrom who is absolutely  pro BML,  found a dozen?  And what
are you gonna do when your first mom or baby dies because of your PR blitz?

What Old Dirty Bastard?  Not our late lamented ODB?  You certainly never
said it to me.

BTW, why don't you come down for the open records celebration January 3.
Your pal Phyllis won't be there, though.  She got booted out of office.

Sounds like a good day to roll-out a New England SH awareness campaign, Jan 3.
We'll start in MA on the 1st, then NH, then move on to VT to get the law passed
there completing the NE block.  Thanks for the inspiration!   Also, our friend
Rep. Woods will be moving on to bigger and better things too. Presidential
primary season is just around the corner, with that state going red once again.

What are you talking about???  Representative Phyllis Woods is always
impeccably dressed!  When she testified for the Baby Safe Haven bill in MA her
suit was far superior to the MA women "progressive chic" legislators, only
equaled by our Lt. Governor.  Her style is very sophisticated.  And she wears
all her jewelry in the right places.  ;-)

She wore an ugly purple suit when she testified against adopted adults in
NH.  She very closely resembled the way Phyllis Schfflay looked when I saw
her at the Christian Coalition conference in WDC in 2002.

Hmmm, let's see. If you did this as part of a protest in front of a national

BN Hall of Fame.....er' shame. Don't forget to keep up the good work!
