I'm trying out Google, but haven't found a way to filter posts.  Anyone
know if it's possible?

TIA.

Nope.  And it seems that for every 7-8 articles I post, only 5-6 actually make
it on google.  hmph.

same here, also, how do you pull up the unread, latest posts, they seem to be
all mixed up with no way to just read the newest, any ideas? .

The way mine is set up (and totally by accident, I didn't actively do anything
to make it so) is that the newest ones come to the top, and when I click on it,
it takes me to the last post.

Except, then I have to scroll back to catch the other 5 new posts.

Thanks Little, I'll try it

Top Post:  You guys should try the link that Robin posted earlier.  He
recommended it last year when my ISP discontinued it's newsgroup feature.
I've been using it ever since. Since I still use Microsoft's Outlook Express
(I know, I know. . . ) I didn't have to change anything other than the
address.

That's  http://news.individual.net/  for those who did not see it
before. Run by the Free University of Berlin's computer reseach
department it is a free to subscribe news server that works with all
traditional usenet software including Outlook Express and Netscape, has
a very helpful page on the website about how to set up or change your
settings. Also for those who like anonimity and privacy you can mung
your e-mail addy and it doesn't transmit your IP number or address.

I'm an absolute doofus with that stuff.  I have Outlook Express, but I've never
used it.  What's so bad about it?

The fact that it's *Microsoft* Outlook Express and  unless you know how
to tweak it just right it opens your computer up to all sorts of
security risks that other e-mail / newsreaders wouldn't. Unless of
course you're sensible enough to use a Mac :) even then you could get VB
worms
