name)

how you did it..
Please reply to this group.. Thanks a lot!
Tell your friend to go to The Canadian Adoptees Registry at
http://www.canadianadopteesregistry.org/index.html. S/he should read and
follow all of the instructions on the site, search for his/her own name at
birth and bdate, and if it's not there, register. Make sure your friend
applies for his or her non-identifying information, adoption order and that
he or she registers with the ADR, the ON government registry.
Join a good support group both on and off line. There are options available
on the CAR site, but if your friend is in Toronto I would suggest ASK, an
offline group that meets monthly on the first Wednesday at the BLOOR STREET
UNITED CHURCH, 300 BLOOR ST. WEST, 7:30 PM (1 block east of the Spadina
subway at Huron). Affiliated with Parent Finders
http://www.Parentfinders.org. Phone: (416) 410-7021 for more information or
e-mail: askto@look.ca or visit http://www.askaboutreunion.org .
Join Canadopt at www.nebula.on.ca/canadopt .
Adoptees and natural mothers are also eligible to join the Canadian Council
of Natural Mothers at www.nebula.on.ca/canbmothers . Check out these web
sites to read articles, find very valuable information about searching, book
reviews etc.
Best of luck,

You should give some of the info you have. I am searching for my son who was
born in Ontario also. His birthname was John Anderson. Post some of your
info for people to see and perhaps it would look familiar to some one. Good
luck with your search.
