Hi anyone left who remembers me! I wrote a while back that I had started
actively searching for my bio-mom. The agency said I had a 4 year wait
ahead of me. In 2000 I posted my information to a adoption website
(http://www.canadianadopteesregistry.org/) I hadn't heard anything so I kind
of forgot about it.
Tonight I was at home and the phone rang, it was Gail Hadley who runs the
website, she told me she had been on the phone with my biological mother all
day and she was wondering if I was still interesting in meeting. I tell you
I about DIED I was so surprised. After some more discussion she hung up and
shortly there after my bio mom phoned and we cried and talked and talked.
To say I am shocked and numb, excited and in awe is ALL an understatement!
Turns out my Bio-mom lives in a city only 3 hours away from where I live! We
actually lived in the same city for a few years and never even knew it.
I wanted to share my news with you all because I have been a part of this NG
for a good many years and have gotten to know a few of you. You have always
been a good place for me to come to understand a bit more about the adoption
triad. I am still trying hard to process all this but I am making plans to
go and meet her (and my 3 1/2 brothers).
Thank you all so much for your years of support, you really have given me
more than you know.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! I remember that first phone call with my
birthmother. There is no feeling like it in the world, and it is just
the greatest high! Stop in again once you come out of the clouds and
let us know more about your possibly meeting and all.

That is such great news! Best wishes to you and your birthmom as you
make up for lost time. I hope my kids someday have the same
opportunity that you do. Good luck and godspeed. :)
