I saw this story on CNN and it's truly heartbreaking.
You know if every animal lover on this forum could send $20 to the rescue
group assisting in this mess, it would go a long, long way in helping them
help these poor
creatures.. And if you live in Southern California, consider fostering or
adopting one of these 400 animals, dogs, cats, horses, sheep, goats, pigs.
The Gentle Barn is a worthy endeavor.
Do think about it.

We had a similiar situation here in our area this past summer. There was
actually food on the farm but the owner was too busy partying to feed them!
The remaining live animals were fostered and are doing well now. The owners
were only convicted of misdemeanor charges and there was an outcry about
strengthening the animal cruelty laws.

I know. It seems like everyday there's another story about animals being
let down by their humans.
Strengthing animal cruelty laws, punishing severly the crime and the
criminal is the only way to stop the tide. I was never happier than to see
Michael Vick go to prison. Perhaps when he comes out he will be truly
rehabilitated.
Even if you don't care for animals - and many people don't particularly -
the line between animal and human abuse is a thin one. Anyone serving time
in prison for violent offenses will have killing puppies and kittens in
their past. And that's a fact.
