We got an offer for our land by a builder who put same offer on a few
blocks, ours was listed at the lowest price already but it's 29grand
less....agent thinks he can get a bit more to cover the commission...we are
thinking of accepting it, we had hoped for at least 10 grand more but if it
doesn't sell each month we stay here we waste 1 grand on rent, and I guess
we won't have to pay as much capital gains tax...I didn't ring back with our
answer yet. The market is dead up there and we have made 60 grand in a year
and a 1/2, which will be less abviously after CGT and land tax, legals
etc...
lets see maybe on monday he has already bought a different block.
Is a bit sad though we don't owe much on it and it's really close to the
beach and this week we finally found someone who will lend us money so we
can buy a house and keep it but I don't want such a huge mortgage...so hard
to decide what to do.

what about move closer to it, rent cheaper?  tricky one, i am glad you found

We have told the realestate guy to get the builders best price and we would
seriously consider it if he ups his offer to include the agents
commision....so lets see what happens.
I'm quietly getting excited!
