Lately DD has been getting out of bed about 10 or more times after we put
her to bed at night, we constantly are taking her back...not uncommon for 2
yr olds but gets to be a chore after a while.
this last week or so DD latest thing is to refused baths/showers etc,
getting her clean is very traumatic for us all ( I can only let her skip so
many!)....anyway it was 7;30 one night and she stil hadn't had a bath, I
explained to her she had to have one because it was dark and was bedtime
soon...DH then mentioned the word "bath" she ran off screaming to her
room..."I'm going to bed then...." it was so funny, after 30 mins she hadn't
come out so DH went and changed her nappy and she went straight to
sleep...oh well bedtime problem solved!

We had great success with this problem by giving DS a Dolphin brand
waterproof torch to play with in the shower.  We'd get him ready and
then once he was in with his torch, we'd turn off the light so he could
play "car lights in the rain" in the shower.  Might work for your DD too
