I am used to prejudice being a male in a nearly all-women's field, but these hecklers have really got it in for me -- I don't know why. I have tried to explain the realitiy of the posts at first, but they have their own agenda. So I think it is best to just ignore them. I followed some of those google links that the anon poster posted and this "cuddling" personal ad thing goes back ten+ years. Tine, Denmark Tine, If you do a little research you'll find that Carl Jones has been stirring up trouble on newsgroups since 1993. I don't believe for a minute that the post was from his son--I believe it was from him. I don't know why he would post on a personals newsgroups for teenagers but I can bet the farm *he* did. He claims to be doing research among other things. He's hanging out on a few infertility ngs even though he's been asks to leave since he does not fit the guidelines (**parenting after IF or pg after IF.**) He's made insensitive remarks. He's just not who or what he appears to be. I just say, beware. As a parent of two adult children I am responsible for everything they do in my house or on my computer. My girls are 22 and 18 and if they do something that is not acceptable in my house, they will lose the internet use. No questions asked. Same goes for phone. My oldest has had her own place for quite some time now but the youngest is still here and knows the rules. Even if it is his son, at 24, he is a child predator and is doing this from his parents home, therefore by law they are legally responsible for not reporting him to the authorities. Even if it is not family and they are using your house or computer for criminal activities you can go to jail as an accessory to the fact. Being I also have girls, I had to face the fact that there were many older men in the chat rooms trying to get them alone. My daughter even helped the police with a man who was offering to purchase alcohol, cigarettes, and drugs for the girls so that they could use his house to party. Her friend got viciously raped by someone who did the same method. Carl might be a great guy, he might not. If he is saying it is his son who is posting to little girls, then in my opinion he is still not a good person because he is allowing young people to be put in a dangerous situation. I love my children, but I would never ever protect them if they were doing wrong. I guess that makes me superwitch mom.
