of doing homework. It is just help. I respect everyone!!!

Here's a free tip:

None of your professors are going to think that "I asked a bunch of
people on MKB," is a valid source.  You need to get one of those old
fashioned things called a BOOK.

Here are books that will answer your every question.  I'm sure the
local public library will have many of them:

_So That's What They're For_ by Janet Tamaro
_The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding_ by the La Leche League
_The Breastfeeding Book_ by Martha and William Sears
_Breastfeeding:  A Guide for the Medical Profession_ by Ruth and Robert
Lawerence

If you MUST use an online source, which I think is totally cheap, but
then again, I used to telnet into my e-mail account, so I'm an old
timer by your standards, try the following:

www.lalecheleauge.org
www.breastfeeding.com
www.kellymom.com

But asking a bunch of random people with no verifiable qualifications
in a newsgroup does not equal "research."  It equals "too lazy to do my
own damn homework," and that's annoying.  If you want to take a poll,
why not find real, in person, flesh and blood breastfeeding moms in San
Jose?

Oh, bite me. ;p I did most of a 15 page honors english paper online, aced
the paper and the class. :D You *can* find reputable journals and quotes and
other useful things online, as long as you know where to look.

Useful advice, Amy.  Don't forget my favorite:
_The Nursing Mother's Companion_ by Kathleen Huggins

Can we give this young lady a break please?  I have studied journalism,
and was indeed a journalism student at one time. (Pre-internet). And
yes, asking people their opinion on topics is an entirely legitimate
tool for journalists. And one handy thing about the internet is that it
makes it possible for her to reach a wide range of people with a wide
range of opinions.
If, instead of posting her question here, she had gone to a LLL meeting
and asked them questions in person, would you consider that wrong?
There are many types of papers that college students write, and many
types of research.

And the internet is considered valid sources - if used right.

My 13-yo is ASKED to use the internet and taught how to do it properly.'

This is clear.   I would assume you have a deadline for your paper.  I would
also assume that you should probably do some real research, rather than
waste time.  Surely you don't plan to copy any replies and quote the context
as being from MKB group, and put that this 'researched' information comes
from the online name of, "BreastfeedingMama" or whatever... Just insert
random name here.
