Evidence that google groups lost track of discussion

I miss the old intelligible discussions of the deja era. What happened
when google took over this news net? It is no longer a discussion
forum ... Does anyone know a newsgroup in which people actually engage
is discussion?

The problem is the SPAMers. They have put lots of people off.

Agreed... if in your car do you listen to a crackly radio station or
pop in your disk of MP3s or hook up the Ipod?

The thing is it didn't have to be this way. Some usenet groups are
moderated. If we just culled the business spammers...
