My situation is so weird, almost at the end of the 2yr wait and she
filed no fault, blah blah blah. I'm sure you heard it all. But anyway
she is engaged has the house ruined my credit along with hers and
verbally agreed to a settlement and now she declined. I am not sure if
some people just run it out for the money or what. She is freaking
engaged and has been for about a year.

Anyone going through anything similiar?

Why does she have the house?

As said about someone else, its time for the OP to show some cajones
and set a date with the court for a trial, instead of letting her make all the
moves.  Why has he put his life on hold?  The OP may or may not come
out ahead, but its a damn sight better being free to move on than twisting
in the wind. =R=

My kids live there so I told her she could keep the house.

I basically told her to keep everything and I will keep my 401k and
claim one of our kids.

We were only married for 3.5 years and she drug it out for 2years!

This whole system is absolutley crazy!

He said my offer is more than generous, basically we only have 2 more
month's. He said if she don't want to agree lets go to court. He is
only worried she will take it out on me with the children.

But i say f*ck her, lets go to court and prove how you deserve alimony
when you

bought new boobs
bought a new truck
You are engaged
get your hair done every week
ruined my credit
Are 3 month's behind on the mortgage for no reason
3 month's behind on the home equity loan.

Thats what i say!

YAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I think the engaged part
should nullify any alimony, don't care about the length of time for the
engagement.

If he's not divorced yet, he's probably only paying spousal support
until the settlement.

Seems she's taking whatever she can get for right now. <shrugs>

The support will stop on D day.

just my 2¢

ok, so you have a waiting period in your state. I'm not sure your
lawyer should be "worried" about her plans...seems he should be
*prepared* for whatever happens.

I gotta LOL- here.....a GF of mine decided she should judge how her CS
payments were being spent....seems the real *Judge* in the case didn't
think that was any of her business. ;-) Due to the length of your M, I
wouldn't suspect your alimony will last too long.

I do hope you've got a sep. agreement for the house & loan stuff.
That's what I would've expected from my lawyer- protection...
