In MD.

During our marriage, stbx (wife) and I had joint account and stbx had
separate account in her name only.  I had no separate account.  Before
separation, wife closed her accounts and took all the cash.  Shortly
after, we were separated.

Can my attorney legally access her closed bank account information?
Want to know exactly how much was taken out as the account closed.
This is the cash she walked away with that I can not account for unless
I have the bank account info as evidence.

Yes.  He needs to subpoena the bank for a copy of the monthly statements
and transactions.

I believe you have the right to discover that money, talk to your
lawyer.

If your name was on the account you can go to the bank and request a
copy of the statement for that time period.  Get that and take it to
your lawyer and he can add that to the distribution of marital assets.
He can't access the account but he can get a judgement against her I
believe.
