I am bored with the daily grind. I need help! I am trying to think of
something fun and cheap that DH, DS (3.5), DD (9.5 months) and I could do
this evening. The requirements are that it not cost a lot of money, dinner
can be included and it not be dependant on the weather. We may get rain this
evening. I get out of work at 5:00 and go get the littles. What can be done
between 5:30 and 7:00?
Just looking for any new ideas to jazz up our evening

Make french bread pizzas. (frenchbread with ketchup spread on, toppings and
cheese put under the grill)
Make popcorn.
Have a pretend party (include pass the parcel-you can wrap it up with ds too
for extra fun, and a cake with a candle)
Get an old catalogue and cut out pictures and stick them in an old exercise
book.
Get some old cardboard boxes and get building/sticking
Have a picnic (inside if wet)
Play hide and seek
Have a snowball fight with rolled up socks.
Play "I spy" and "simon says" and that sort of thing.
Go round to a friend's house.
Wrap up dh like a mummy with toilet paper.

Make a tent, using a sheet or blanket draped over some furniture. Have
tea in there.

Hmmm. 9.5 months is a bit tough...
Have a car picnic: Pack sandwiches and kids, and drive to the nicest
lookout point or view area and eat there. (This only works if the 3.5
y-o is tired enough to sit in his car seat and relax...)
Put on music and dance. Baby gets carried by the adults..
Partly fill the tub with warm water, make paper boats.
Fold paper airplanes and glide them over the living room.

My siblings and i absolutely LOVED this. We would crawl around in "our"
house, and sometimes parents were invited in, but only if we said so.
