My 16 MO DS started exclusively on table foods (no more baby food) last
week. Since he started, his pooping has been out of this world! He's going
at least 3 times per day with the consistency mostly runny. The colors are
pretty psychedelic too! This didn't happen with my DD. Is this normal? Do
I need to bulk up his intestines with stuff like rice and cheese?
Thanks!

Pooping from about once every 3 days to three or four times a day is
perferctly normal, even for adults (there are a lot of adults who poop
after every meal).
As long as he doesn't seem to be bothered by this (like he isn't in pain
and pushing too hard), this is probably perfectly normal for him.

No. His bowels sound perfectly normal.
One thing that might be affecting him is that if he is drinking a lot of
juice, the sugar in the juice may not be well absorbed, causing more
water to remain in his intestines. But not for long (you can find out
how long the next time he eats corn). If you decrease the empty sugar
calories from juice (juice is just sugar water), this may decrease the
number of his poops and make them a little more solid.

Yes, it is normal. No, you don't need to add bulk. He is trying lots
of new foods, and lots of it, and his intestinal flora is having
little mini overgrowths. Keep his bum as dry as you can manage, use
plenty of diaper rash cream (I prefer the thicker ones).
Don't worry, this too will pass. :-)
