Following some unsettled years of marriage,
my husband is now being very nice to me -
making strenuous efforts, inspite his illness,
to be a good husband.  I appreciate that a lot.
I am also trying to cooperate with the kind of
lifestyle he needs to reduce stress.

All's well that end well.

Bye

Thanks Erin for giving us a positive update. It's nice to hear something
good is going for you.

Sorry I've not made an effort to be more positive Bob.  I'm so stuck
on the biological psychiatry track that I sometimes regret not giving
some credit to David Oaks, for example.  Best to keep an open mind.

Erin -

Just to make my thought more clear, I was glad to see a less than
"troubled" post by you. If someone comes on here with troubled feelings,
and has issues, and you are seeing those as the majority of the posts,
you feel glad for them when you see a positive posting. Sort of like
stepping out of a sauna after having been it for 30 minutes. It just
feels good.

I hope your week-end is going well,

But alas, I'm afraid not for the better - if you're talking about people.
Technology, for sure; but people, and their "values" (snort)?  I don't think
so!

What do you mean Bill.... you've done a 360o degree turn since you
started posting.

That means I'm right back where I started from.    I'm not sure that's a
good thing, though.

That's why I thot it was funny. You are, IMO, not "right back where
[you] started from"--tho indeed you visit that place at times--don't
we all?

Maybe, although it seems that some people are able to move on without any
such regressions or encumberances.   Or maybe it just seems that way,
through some rose-tinted glasses; I don't know.

I have?   How so?  (not necessarily disputing it, but I just don't know or
see it)

If my memory serves me well, you used to be extremely positive about
the
potential of marital reconcilliation, etc., but now you seem to be
questioning
that on the grounds of character incompatibility.

I would like to be positive about that.   BUT if the two parties aren't able
and/or willing, or even care enough to really try, then what (rhetorical).
Is that what you meant by character incompatibility?
