Just got the first insurance papers from my new counselor/
psychiatrist. $185.00/hr. Sheesh.....

That's not actually unusual.  I hope that insurance pays for part of it
at least?

And what do you do when there's a layoff, the COBRA premium is more
than unemployment, and so you're out of insurance?  One much-needed
prescription is $250, without insurance.  *With* insurance, it had a
$50 copay.

You do like me, and the other (50,000,000) Americans - go without the
(completely unaffordable) insurance.

Yah. All of it, actually. Or, more accurately, his *usual* fee is
$185/hour but he has agreed to accept military patients and accepts
what our insurance pays him instead of his usual fee.
