According to Google, ChicagoWingDing has posted here 14 times. I just
reread all of them. It's possible that despite my intention NOT to
skim, that I missed the part where she said her husband had known he
was interested in sex with men (one particular activity appeals to
him) since he was a teenager - or before they were married.
Where, exactly, did she post that? She posts that they've been
married 3 years, he told her a year ago. Where is his earlier
background discussed?
I missed it and I want to read it.
Chicago, if you're reading this - I don't think it matters whether you
share all the details again. You've been very brave and forthcoming
in discussing this. I really feel for you. Both Doug and Tai have
offered excellent advice - and Doug has pointed to some interesting
blogs by people who have similar stories (to your husband's). Your
commitment to the idea of marriage shines through - and your love for
this man does as well.
You can always email privately, too - if these threads seem markedly
unhelpful.

She said that he had been "curious" since puberty, not in the original
thread, but in her original post in this thread - something different
than Lauri's reading of it. In the interest of hair-splitting,
"curiosity" can mean many things, including "curious about have sex
with a man". Or not. I'm not sure that even "curious what it would be
like to have sex with a man" makes someone bisexual. If it does, I
guess that very occasionally, I have been bisexual. Then it went away.
This reminds me of a piece of erotica I read once, called "Sweating
Profusely in Merida", about a woman's adventures in a gay bathhouse
and how some men who would do anything as long as there was woman in
the room to hang their sexuality on. It's a very sweaty piece of
writing, by the way.
