I haven't been keeping my ear to the ground. Is there a reference to an
earlier post with the story? Anybody visiting Sheila, please pass on my
best wishes for her recovery.

Very good to hear. Send her my best wishes. I'm sure she's still
thinking "what do you mean I'll feel way better in a few weeks".

Thanks, Tai, for passing on the information.
I'm at home. DH is still rather upset with me about it.... I got it into my
head on Tuesday that I needed to be at home, so I sort of bulldozed my way
to getting here. In case no one ever noticed this about me, I can be pretty
strongwilled. ;-) Anyway, I'm at home, and I'm doing okay. And, the best
thing is, my surgeon called me last night, the full pathology report is in,
and there is no sign of cancer. Yayayayay!
I *am* mostly trying to behave myself, so I won't be sitting here on the
computer for at least a couple of more days, but I had come downstairs to
microwave some food, and thought I'd take a moment to write. I'm fine as
long as the drugs are working, but, when they start to wear off, I realize
that my body has really taken a big hit. I don't want to think about how
I'd feel without them.
Thanks for all the well-wishes, and I'll be back again arguing with everyone
soon.

That's very good news. Now let yourself recover!

Sheila, you're so lucky that you got the pathology report back so
fast!!! Mine took TWO LONG weeks. I'm very happy for you that cancer
was not found. It does kind of ruin your day when the word "cancer"
is handed to you. :-)
Try to let your body rest and enjoy the drugs for as long as
possible. Docs aren't as eager to dispense them once you've
healed :-)
Whaddaya mean by you being strong willed??????
Yes, kidding.

While you are on the drugs, don't pay any bills. Seriously, have
hubby do it.
We have two companies, very similarly named. One bill is about
$150/month, the other is $35/quarter. I think I'm due this month to
finally pay the quarterly bill, as my $150 payment finally caught up
to billing. :-)
You wouldn't think overpaying a bill could generate so much paperwork.
We would get our regular quarterly bill, with bold print stating we
had a credit on the account, followed by letter reminding us we were
in credit status and not to pay. In addition, we got monthly
statements regarding the credit. I'll be happy to get 4 pieces of
mail a year from them rather than the 20 this past year.

Funny you should mention that. Recently while hopped up on
painkillers after an injury, I made a $2700 payment to a company we no
longer even purchase anything from rather than to the company to which
it was due!
Luckily, when I discovered the error (by getting a past due notice
from the company to whom we owed the $2700), the other company was
prompt and helpful about refunding the overpayment (which I'd made
electronically) with no paperwork.

Glad to hear all the good news! Make sure you don't over-do it!
How is your son feeling these days?

No WAY! lol... I am way more comfortable with 'who' I am now than I ever
was at 17.

Good to see you are home, and with such a positive report. I can see DH's
point of view, but as Tai said, being in your own surroundings is medicine
in itself.
"Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself."
Best wishes,

My earlier post didn't go through. :-(
Thank you for keeping us up-to-date.
