We were without electricity until 3pm, still have no internet at
home.  The boys have cable, so theirs is working.  There was 19
inches
of rain last night, 11 of it in 3 hours.  They're talking another 12
inches tonight, so I"m staying in town, so I can cook for the fire
dept if they have to stay out all night again doing search and
rescue.

My fun this morning was nearly washing down a creek because I didn't
see the overflow until I was right on it.  Thankfully, it had already
gone
down about 3/4 before I got there.  The high water mark put it about
3-4
feet, which would have buried the Civic and washed me downstream.
Talk about lucky!!  As it was, I didn't get to work until 8am, instead
of
my usual 5am or so.

'Night, all.

Gosh, Kitten -- take care, and I hope everyone turns out okay!

Yeah, same here.    I heard about some of the torrential rain hitting the
Midwest (and perhaps East) on the news.

No exciting weather here in No. CA.  Nice and sunny.

I am having some plumbing issues.  And I came close to touching a
black widow and a few of its egg sacks yesterday.  I totally jinxed
myself, because we were talking about bugs.  Oooh, that was me who
started it.  The whole fly thing.  I am currently knocking on wood.
