I still can't be around a lot, but I actually am in my own house and
have my computer and internet access.  Our house in Louisiana is still
unsold, so it may be a while before dh moves here permanently.  I'm
told vacant houses sell less well than those with some furniture still
in them, so dh is going to stay there and come here once every two
weeks or so.

I do really like this area better than Louisiana.  This is an
especially nice area for the kids since we are within easy walking
distance of a community pool and a nice park.  There are tons of kids
in the neighborhood for them to play with and the area is quite
diverse so we have lots of interesting people.  I met my neighbors on
each side and the one across the street a few days ago and they are
very helpful and nice.  Dgd has a *best friend* who lives right next
door too - he's about two months younger than she is and is an
adorable and friendly boy.

Fingers crossed for the house to sell soon.

It sounds like a great new place for all of you. I hope that DH gets home
very soon and your how in LA is sold quickly and easily.

Sounds like the children are very happy in the new neighborhood. It's so
wonderful to finally land in a "child happy" area. Our neighborhood here in
CA is like that and it has been a real blessing for my children to have
friends all around them and someone to play with and know that other parents
are also keeping their eyes open and everyone is more on the lookout for the
kidlets.

I hope school works out really well for the kidlets too.
