i need to make something for the school potluck tonight. i'm
uninspired. any ideas? i do have a lot of getting over ripe
peaches...
and, why do boy's slim size jeans have a shorter inseam than
regulars? Boo has a size 4 waist & needs 7s for length. the 7
slims are too short. poor kid is so used to bunchy waistbands...

He's just like E, tall and thin. She can't stand pants that zip or
button so she actually prefers the bunchy waist, but it's hard to find
elastic waist jeans in the general shopping arena.

Am I remembering right that Sears now has Land's End? We have a Sears
here but I don't usually shop there.

Yes, you are remembering correctly. They don't carry their entire
lines but the climbers are there.

Thanks Jenn, I'll plan to get over there sometime in the next few
weeks. E has outgrown all her jeans in length and needs new.
Although she says she likes her jeans that way ;-)

Go with somewhere that will do custom inseams, or
find somewhere that has the right fit off the rack.
Often Lands End will do custom inseams, and their slims
are the same inseam as their regulars (7S is a 20.5" waist
and a 21.5" inseam). You might have to dig around to
find which styles of jeans you can get custom inseams on
(or might have to call them), but I know I've ordered
boys' jeans with custom inseams from them before.
Best wishes,
Ericka
