cool! what was her project?
Boo is doing experiments with Capillary Action. besides the
standard food coloring & flowers/celery, he's growing white
Swiss chard but only giving the plants colored water. so far
the red, yellow & control plants have come up, & they are
reddish, yellowish & normal green sprouts. should be
interesting to see the results.

Boo is off on Fridays during 'ski season' (5 weeks of
lessons). right now we're doing chemistry (waiting for some
polyacrylimide crystals). when Tom gets back from Agway with
the hay, he'll be doing woodworking (building a goat shed)
until around 1pm when we're going to meet up with his now
homeschooled best friend (& mom & siblings) and go to the
planetarium, & possibly the bookstore after, since it's near
the planetarium.

She decided to use Magnetism for a project. We got some really cool
neodymium magnets at no cost from a wholesaler that provides free
supplies for educational purposes. She showed which magnet was the
strongest, and why.

Very cool! E was fascinated with the projects of that sort at the
open house last night. She wants to try it at home so I'll be going
out to get some flowers once the roads are a bit better.

Well, I didn't get very many Zzzs. A decided it was time to get up
;-)
We've been doing some housework and setting up a place off the deck to
feed the birds. A gets a kick out of seeing a yard full of tiny bird
tracks in the snow.
The library is planned for later, or tomorrow, depending on how the
weather behaves. We're under a storm warning until 7 p.m.
Although I may get out and finally buy a snow blower!

She experimented with magnets to determine which one was the
strongest.
We got some cool neodymium magnets from a local source that donates
magnets to kids for educational purposes.
