Last night while sitting in my chair
I pinged a host that wasn't there
It wasn't there again today
The host resolved to NSA.

If you can killfile http://groups.google.com that will get rid of 98% of
it.
That is not the same thing as killfiling a gmail.com address.
It made me a lot calmer wading through stuff on r.f.cooking.
FWIW.

You might like to filter it out. If you are reading usenet newsgroups
through google groups, use firefox as your web browser and the
greasemonkey add-on.
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/748
This is not the best filter I've used, but it is convenient to have
one that works with google groups.

I can, but do I want to?
Serves me right for disappearing for close to a month or so! Come to check
up on things and it's spam, spam, spam! It gets hard to pick between the
good stuff and the garbage. Yuck!
