That is when DD makes some money. She is quite in demand. Checking HW,
explaining things. Etc. Looks like there are quite a few kids with
money and parents who either do not have the time or capability to
assist with HW or who do a worse job then DD. So she charges 1-2 bucks
to check a HW depending on complexity and to improve the grammar and
wording on some writing assignments. As a result she has not been
taken any allowance and from time to time she is taking us out for
dinner. I have no problem with it as it is checking the kids HW and
not doing the complete one and the improvemet of the writing... well
true the kid might get a better grade than on his own but (s)he also
learns in the process as they are going to have to fix it to submit it
w/o her annotations and corrections. And I also do not feel bad about
the kids paying her. She provides a service and they got money. Last
B'day talking with her friends I found out the average allowance of
the friends present was about $ 50/week plus lunch money and money for
snacks. (All I could give her was about $ 5 a month).

Your DD is very industrious and seems to be helping others. I might be
worried if the parents don't know about them needing help with their
homework and think that they are accomplishing their tasks alone. Just my
thought though.

On the allowance front. HOLY COW! Our kids get $10 a payday which works out
to $5 a week. Our 8 year old puts half of his in his savings account on bank
day at school and keeps out the other half. He always has more money than
his sister. She's a girl and a teen and she needs NEEDS stuff. Well, in her
opinion.

There are kids at Rachel's school who carry $100, $200 around with them.
Rachel has $5 extra a week in case what is on the set menu at school on any
day isn't something she adds and then she can use cash to pay for ala carte
items. Each kid has a school spending account that they use an id card to
pay for regular lunches. It's very handy and means I don't have to gather
lunch money every day. Once a month we add money to their accounts and we
don't have to think about it again.

Good to see that DD is so comfortable with her own abilities and is willing
to share that with others. A lot of kids wouldn't do it even if they could
it would be too much work. She may have a job in a major industry and need a
ride to work by next month. =-)

Too bad she doesn't spend the time helping her retarded brother.

Not enough money in it?

Keep dreaming enema.

It's funny the way you cows proclaim the spoiled fruit of your loins
is soooo superior and spechul, yet your kids are so much more f*cked
up than the usual brats.

"Ohhh - he's sooo smart... but he can't write and he freaks out when
there is a shirt label touching his neck."
Still dreaming moo. Your brats will never work and no person with an
ounce of sense will ever get involved with them. You have to have the
school changed for your tards and they still hold the rest of the
class behind.

I look forward to a decade or two in the future, when your tard babies
reproduce and you have spechul mutant  grandtards.

So how come you quit replicating after boo - fear of another retard?
Do you or Mr. Green-genes donate the extra chromosome?

Hopefully you're barren!  :)

Why did Boo kill the llama?
He can't stand smart alacks!

he can write, but he doesn't like to. and he's never had
problems with shirt labels, although many kids do.

if he's reading at a 5th grade level & doing math at a 4th
grade level, in 2nd grade, how exactly is *he* "holding the
class behind"?
no, he's changing schools because the current school is
understaffed & using mostly workbooks to keep the kids busy.
that is not Montessori philosophy & it's not advancing Boo's
skills as quickly as he wants to learn. so i am changing the
school so that he can continue to learn at his speed, not the
school's.
and it doesn't matter if Boo ever gets a job, because, well,
he'll never have to if he chooses not to. of course, i hope he
finds meaningful (to *him*) work, be it farming or woodworking
or running a company. i don't expect him to become a burger
flipper or cubicle drone & would be a bit disappointed if he
chose that sort of employment.

you probably won't be around in a decade or two. the bitter
ones like you fortunately tend to die early.
i'm not expecting to be around for grandkids either. it would
be nice, but i don't expect everyone will choose to have kids.
as a CF, why do you?

> So how come you quit replicating after boo - fear of

i had Boo a month before my 48th birthday. why do you *think*
i only had one? while i *could* have had fertility treatments
post menopause so i could have had another litter (because one
rarely gets just one from fertility drugs), i think that's a
waste of money & resources. others feel differently, but
that's not my problem.
both Boo's father & i are above average IQ, but i'm pleased
to say that the autie type genes are from my side of the
family. it doesn't involve a trisomy however. you really
should study better before attempting to flame. you make a
candle look like a forest fire.

> Hopefully you're barren!  :)

obviously i'm not. i have a kid :)
is that your problem? you shooting blanks?

> Why did Boo kill the llama?

the cold killed the llama. Boo was quite helpful taking care
of her.
he also helped move the rest of the llamas back into the
summer pasture yesterday before school. he's getting quite
good with dealing with them.

> He can't stand smart alacks!

he's 7.5. he *is* a smart alack! ;)

Unfortunately, oftentimes they don't - these types hang on and on 'cause the
world is about them.

Methinks this anxiousness about the presence of drone-like compliance in kids is
to make sure the proper number of butt-wipers and bedbody-turners will be there
when Latrine's time comes...

Not meaning to start an argument about it, but *most* folks have only one
child using fertility drugs.  It's true there are more multiples than when
conceived by the traditional method, but still, it's a small percentage of
the total pregnancies achieved.  The higher order multiples get a lot of
press (and tv shows, which I cannot believe!) but they're still the
exception rather than the rule.

Take care,
Lisa, back to lurking, but I couldn't let it slide!

It has to be free. You're such a loser you can hardly support them.

I take it you were one of those tough-acting, dumb kids that pretended to
befriend smart kids just long enough to get by on some school assignment.

This kid won't fall for that.  She knows she has something of value (knowledge
and skills - the way to many of the most lucrative jobs) and charges for it.

Guess you're upset she won't be your butt-wiper.
