Scared ya, huh!
No, really... we're going to pick up a rescued Basset Hound this
evening. I'm soooo excited!!! She's 2 years old and just as loveable
as can be. We're going to keep her for a couple of weeks as a
trial-run but I'm confident she'll fit into the family within minutes
of coming home :-))))

aw! congrats! my new baby (Scout, the cattle dog/lab) is
permanantly glued to my ankle. i can't go anywhere without my
little shadow.
here's a piccy of him at 9 weeks:

he's 4 months old now & knows all his puppy obedience (sit,
down, stay, relax, come) better than big sister, Peanut
(almost 9 months old). he also asks to go out, which Peanut
doesn't...

I pinged a host that wasn't there
It wasn't there again today
The host resolved to NSA.

They're both adorable! Especially Peanut :-)
I'd been wanting a small-ish dog, thinking something along the lines
of your Peanut. I posted a 'Wanted' post on Freecycle and this gal
emailed me about Phoebe, a Basset Hound she's been fostering. I went
to see her and she's so cute I couldn't resist!

Bassets are adorable.
They aren't really small dogs though, they are big hounds with short legs,
who love to seek out scents and run after them.

Her head fit perfectly on my lap while I watched Ugly Betty last night

Hope she'll bring you lots of pleasure.
Just curious - why is it always a new baby? Anyone ever seen an old
baby? <g>

Awwww. she sounds so cute! I have always had a soft spot for bassets, they
just look so melancholy even when they are happy. :-)
