ok, so i *finally* got confirmation yesterday at 4:30pm
(Wednesday) that i do, indeed, have surgery scheduled for 9 am
on Friday... oh, & bring $8825. with me, thanks.
ok, that works. i can drop Boo off at early care at his
school at 7:15am and drive the hour & a half to the hospital &
get there by 9am.
so, today i get home at 4:15pm from picking Boo up at school
to a message from the hospital saying i had to BE there by
7:30am. WTF?! i call the hospital. the respose? oh, do you
want to reschedule then? NO, i don't freaking want to
reschedule! but it would be NICE if you could have TOLD me
this when you set the appointment so i could figure out what
to do with my kid!
so, i called Em, who is taking him after school. not home. i
call my friend Margo. fax is on the phone & her cell is on
answer. i'm getting panicky because i have to know before 5pm
what i'm going to do... i call his teacher. yes, she can take
Boo at 6am if i can't find other arrangements. <whew> Margo
called back around 6 & she says Boo can come sleep over & Em
can drive him to school in the morning (Em lives next to her,
relatively speaking).
end panic.
but for the love of doG, WHY can't they make things clear to
start with?

Last night while sitting in my chair
I pinged a host that wasn't there
It wasn't there again today
The host resolved to NSA.

It would be nice if they could get their communication in order.

I am glad you found a solution.

Your surgeons office should have given you a packet of information and
called you to make sure that you were ready for surgery.  It is SOP to
arrive at the hospital several hours ahead of your scheduled surgery, to get
prepped, etc.

Good luck!

It's not like you needed to stress yourself right before your surgery!
They should have given you the information.

By now you're already there, or shortly to arrive so I'll just say I'm
thinking of you today.  Big Hugs!

Nan
