Bonnie has a front permanent tooth growing in sideways. Would you go to
the dentist about it? She is 6.

Yes, if only for spacing issues and the fact that at a young age a retainer
may successfully turn it as it comes in. That is just my thought as we go
through braces on one partially because her teeth came in slightly
overlapping and our 8 year old who is missing two permanent teeth, the two
front bottom, and has already been to the orthodontist in case the teeth do
not move and fill in the space by themselves. The missing teeth is
apparently hereditary. i have several siblings missing permanents, my Mom
and I don't have two permanents but my baby teeth remain. At 38 I don't
think they are going anywhere now.

Yeah, I would go. I would want to see what they say about it. I would think
about their recommendations and go home and research the hell out of
anything they do recommend, and then I would decide what to do about it, if
something indeed does need to be done about it.
My oldest son chipped his 2 front teeth and we found a great pediatric
dentist. He looked at it and said there was no reason to do anything about
it (they're baby teeth) unless we have a problem with how they look. We
don't give a damn about how they look. We just don't want them to cause him
pain or permanent damage. We visit occasionally to make sure everything
still looks "okay" and that's that.

Yes, I would to check there are not any less obvious problems.

Absolutely. If only to see what they suggest. U guess when she gets
older it may somewhat correct itself, but you should probably start
investigating now. Has her dentist seen it already? When is her next
cleaning? You probably don't need to make an extra appointment, just
have it done at her next appt.

This will be a new dentist. Our insurance is good for us, bad for the
dentists, they don't like to take it. There just happens to be one here
in town that I ment to start calling daily as they take same day
appointments for the cancellation slots.

That's too bad. We have pretty darn good dental insurance also, but
thankfully I haven't run into that problem yet. I hope you can get
into the same day dentist.
