It's Not My Fault (INMF) spent the week entire with Clan
Ranger. We were roughing it -- no TV, no Xbox, no Gameboys --
for the entire week at a local lake, spending a majority of our
daylight hours practicing watercraft (skiing, zip-sledding,
fishing).

I was "in charge" of INMF and developing his understanding of
responsibilities during this trip.

<sigh>

I'd like to say I was a model of perfection but INMF's titanium
cranium rebuffed even my use of an acetylene torch...

To think he's going to get a car within the month scare to holy
hell out of me and mine.

What possessed you to invite him?  Did you draw the short straw at Christmas
or something???

We just returned from a week in Gatlinburg with the entire softball team
(World Series).  The ball playing was fine, but I was SO ready to get home
and away from excessive togetherness with 12 (13 year old) girls and their
parents....I guess I do not have to explain to you the layers of complexity
and b*tchiness that can entail!

B
OT food note...Bob's pumpkin patch (both acres!!!)  is coming along like
gangbusters.  And we are eating tomato bread salad made with fresh tomatoes,
basil, and roasted garlic ciabatta croutons as we speak.....

Did you give him yellow flashing warning lights for the back of his car for
that all important birthday granting him access to an at least one ton
rolling battering ram of death? I hope he doesn't live anywhere near my part
of California, we will have to keep our children off the road.

Ha, you are only a breath away from needing to train two of your own in this
gift of automotive freedom?
