My brother has just been rushed back to hospital with chest pains. That's
just wonderful...not. No further news yet, so we don't know whether this is
'just' chest pains, or something more serious.

<sigh>

I am going to check on nephew and niece, who are downstairs ATM, playing at
my parents' (who live one floor down in the same apartment building). My
father said the kids were very calm. Calm is good.

So sorry about not getting back until now, things were very hectic. It was
messy, to say the least. Lots of promises about when they would have a
diagnosis, when the test results were in, how long he'd have to stay in the
hospital, etc. Each person said something different and whatever they said,
they never lived up to it. I think he was told on three different days that
he'd be discharged that same day, all untrue, sigh.

In the end they couldn't find anything and they say it is pain from the
stents they put in after the heart attack. But if the stent pain feels the
same as the heart attack, what are you to do?? Ignore it (oh, that'll be the
stents) until he keels over and they find out that this time it /was/
another heart attack? And then add to it: "Avoid all stress"...eh...yeah
sure, *how*??!!

Anyway, according to the docs it is all 'between the ears' as we say in
Dutch. We shall see... In the end my brother was indeed discharged and he
has now finally entered the programme for people who have recently
sufferered a heart attack. Took forever for him to be able to start that.
Way back when my father started within two weeks after his heart attack, my
brother had to wait for about 7 weeks. That doesn't help. At least he is now
able to exercise two times a week under supervision of a cardiologist. That
seems to help. Hopefully it is uphill from here.

Thanks Beth. See the response I just posted to Angela's post. My brother
seems to be doing OK, kids are still a bit out of sorts, though they do not
speak about it much. It's a bit much to handle for the little people :-(.
They had barely recovered from the stress caused by the heart attack when
their dad was hospitalized again.

Last night while sitting in my chair
I pinged a host that wasn't there
It wasn't there again today
The host resolved to NSA.
