The 11 and 6 year old have a stomach virus, since Sunday. For two nights I
got no sleep because one or the other needed help, was crying, or I just
didn't have time to fall asleep between incidents! Last night we all slept
through but the stuff started around 5am. The youngest is doing really well
with her drinking but the 11 year old is so nauseated it's hard for her to
drink. I took her to be checked out when she was showing symptoms of
dehydration and they just said to keep doing what I'm doing (wowzers). I
give her ibuprofen for the aches and fever(recommended by the doctor)(and it
really is helping her feel better).
Let me just say, I had NO IDEA a body could lose so much water at one time.
This is the worst stomach issue that I've ever dealt with(parent-wise, that
is) It sounds like someone pouring buckets of water into the toilet. And I
still am not recuperated from the two nights of no sleep. And the laundry...
I have been so worried and sad that the kids are so sick but mama just
needed to whine to someone. It looks like they are getting better today,
finally. I can feel my body trying to fight, my stomach hurts off and on but
I am determined not to fall to this virus.
Ok I am done whining. Thank you.
