Got nowhere else to vent cos Im going to drive dh insane if I whinge
anymore.
We have had about 3 months of incredibly dry, clear weather. So what
happens tonight - the night my weather and astronomy groups go mad with
excitement cos they are seeing the most fantastic aurora that we have
had visible this far south in umpteen years - it s*dding well rains. How
come in the whole of the UK *we* have to have the rain. Ive been looking
at fantastic pictures theyve all posted and all I can see outside is rain.
a big fat huh to the weather.

Ugh! I know how you feel. I was SO looking forward to seeing some good aurorae tonight, but sadly
the sky is socked full of clouds. :( I've only seen 1 aurora in my life about a year ago. I'd
REALLY like to see some more!!

And clear skies are wasted here on me. Last night was beautifully
clear, but any chance of seeing the aurora this far south was probably
ruined by all the light pollution north of me. One day, it's one of
my goals in life to see it in person! Actually think I did in upstate
NY but didn't know what I was looking at (or if it was the
circumstances, LOL!).
Take care,
Lisa
