If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music he hears, however measured or far away.

League

"England A coach John Kear claims his young side gave Australia an
almighty scare on their British tour opener, but Kangaroos coach Chris
Anderson is refusing to press the panic button.

Australia, who suffered a blow before kick-off when prop Shane Webcke
pulled out of Tuesday night's match with a back strain, were forced to
hang on grimly for a 26-22 win after a late fightback by their
opponents."

A win is a win....

just for a laugh

"England are to face two misconduct hearings over the illegal fielding
of a 16th player during their match against Samoa, Rugby World Cup
organisers said on Wednesday evening.

A statement said England would have to answer two allegations of
misconduct arising from events at the end of Sunday's match, when
replacement Dan Luger took to the field without permission from match
officials.

The first charge accuses the (English) Rugby Football Union of acting
contrary to instructions issued by touch-line official Brett Bowden.

England officials are alleged to have ignored Bowden by sending Luger
onto the pitch.

The second misconduct hearing concerns England fitness coach Dave
Reddin.

No details were given but Reddin is reported to have had an angry
altercation with fourth official Steve Walsh of New Zealand after the
final whistle.

Both cases will be heard by Rugby World Cup independent judicial
officer Brian McLaughlin of Ireland in Sydney on Thursday at 6pm AEDT.

No details of possible punishments have been revealed but reports have
said England are likely to face a heavy fine and reprimand.

Wallabies star Toutai Kefu has called for England to be stripped of
points won in the 35-22 victory.

England coach Clive Woodward, who is likely to attend Thursday's
hearing, has already admitted a mistake was made.

"It was an error I can assure you and yes, there has been an
(internal) investigation," Woodward said on Tuesday.

Samoa meanwhile have brushed off the controversy. "We are not unhappy
and we are not taking it any further, that's not our way," coach John
Boe said. "I think the Cup is a lot bigger than one minor incident
like that."

The England squad is currently based near Brisbane where they play
their last pool game on Sunday against Uruguay having already ensured
a slot in the World Cup finals"

A whole six seconds.1.2.3.4.5.6 with an extra man.He walked on and then
walked straight off again, but the aussie squad are making it sound like we
played the whole game like that. The Samoans aren't even bothered.I'm
suprised no ones suggested we should thrown out the competition.

Apparently we're the most arrogant race on the planet.I wasn't aware we were
a race, but thats arrogance for you.

Proud of the country you come from?Proud of your history? Every damned
nation is arrogant from the outside. One mans patriotism is anothers
arrogance. But thanks for Kafu,Tofu or whatever his name is for pointing it
out

Its actually quite funny really.Talk about an inferiority complex ;O)

I'm related to a Manu Samoa Player, I can't remember his
name though...lol. He's pretty famous over there apparantly
and everyones who is into Rugby here seems to know his name,
his grandfather and mums grandfather were brothers or
something.

Andrea..who will only watch the Rugger if the All Blacks are
in the finals, and that's at a push.

If I can't be a good example, then I'll just have to be a
horrible warning.
