Got up today and our phones were out.  Peculiar since our neighbor has
working landline.  The phone company came out around 2:45 (of course I was
just walking out to p/u dd from school). They really don't know what is
wrong but the guy did say that whomever hooked us up with the line to begin
with did it all wrong.

Anyhow... we have two phone lines and wouldn't you know the one they get
fixed isn't the computer line.  SO now I have cords stretched across my
floor with a caller I.D. box in the middle to make it stretch to the phone
outlet... pretty silly!  But I'm here anyhow.

silly me... couldn't wait any longer!
