will she.... wont she.....
throw up that is.

Im doing the annual re-trialing of egg for Katherine. (for those who
didnt know she used to react to even trace amounts of egg when she was
tiny and she is slowly growing out of it)

Last year she wasnt actually sick but had awful sick burps on 1/8th of a
teaspoon.

Ive just given her about half a teaspoon of hard boiled egg - yolk and
white (bit more than I intended to) She told me beforehand she was a bit
scared. She was still keen though as she wants to be able to eat boiled
eggs when she goes to Grandmas (?!?) Anyway she thought it tasted really
nice, which I hope is a good sign.

Well, in an hour or twos time I will know the result.

Wish us luck

Thanks Dawn T+80 min and no reaction so far. Ive got her playing in the
kitchen (it has a hard cleanable floor) with my kitchen scales, bits and
bobs of food and an old bowl (just in case ;-)  )

Fingers crossed! I find it really courageous of her to try when she knows
she may become sick. You would have hell if it were me... ;-)

One of the first things we want to do now weve cleared her on a lot of
food items is take her out for chinese :))) shes a very adventurous
eater and good with chopsticks so it will be good fun. Although when I
mentioned the idea she was disappointed that we couldnt actually go to
China for it :-/

thing :))))I cant believe after these fraught years we've had with her
that its suddenly got so much easier :))) No more stressful parties and
school lunches. Hooray!!!!!!!! Even this morning she was talking about
all the different things she wants to try. Ive nicknamed her 'my little
gastro-naut'.

Sarah - very chuffed and cant believe my luck :)))

<G> I guess you didnt make it down to my perfect boiled egg thread. It
went fine. I did a soft boiled egg which theoretically is more
allergenic than hard boiled. Afterwards we played in the kitchen again
for a couple of hours (easy to clean) And she was completely and totally
fine. Im rather astounded.

We are going to try quiche next as its one of the things on the school
dinner menu. Then the bravest thing to try will be raw cake mix - gulp -
but important to try because then she will be safe to do the cooking
lesson with the other kids at school.
