Funny sort of day (job interview)

As Im typing we are *finally* having some reasonable snow falling - its
very pretty outside.

The day got off to a bad start when Katherine tumbled from the top of
the stairs to the bottom and bumped her head a little. Mostly she was
just shaken.

Last night all the melted snow we had yesterday had frozen and we had
the lightest covering of snow. It was like glass outside and it was my
day for taking the lad down the road into school as well. It was an
interesting walk. One child in each hand as we slithered to school. The
lad fell twice but was fine. I let the school know what had happened to
K in case she felt unwell later.

I went home, got changed and walked out in the falling snow to a job
interview. Its at a local preschool. When I got there, the lady had
forgotten I was coming!!!

Anyway the place is really nice. Its an old preschool where all the
staff are changing and it will have a new supervisor (American) who has
lots of new exciting ideas. Effectively it will be a brand new
preschool. The supervisor has young children starting school and is in a
very similar position to me with school runs and what not. I will have
to start a training course come September, but I expected that.

I am really excited about the prospect. The supervisor wants me to go
again for an interview when she has a job application form, so that
sounds pretty positive. I hope I get it :)))

Ah well, I ought to go and get on with the class tsunami blanket that
the kids have been making at school. I said I would finish it off :-/

Wishing you all the best.  Just from your posts - i'm guessing you would be
the exact kind of teacher i would want for my pre-schooler!  Good luck,
Sarah!

Fortunately I was in the other room so I only heard it (and that was
awful) poor dh was rather shaken as he was at the top of the stairs and
watched it. Poor Katherine I bet she dreams about it tonight.

Funnily enough it wasnt. She thought I was a Mum coming to look round to
put my child in! It put me at ease that it was a nice normal person
interviewing me, I get nervous around very efficient business like
people so it was quite a relief. I had to keep reassuring her that I
didnt mind <G>

:-( That sucks. We had snow here during the night and this morning. Lot
of good that did. As soon as the sun started shining it melted... Not
that it was of any use to begin with, just a very thin layer. It's just
after 1 am now and there's hardly any show left :-(.

LOL, Official Me Too Post. Amazing what new acronyms you pick up lurking
briefly in other NGs ;-).

Other new favourites of mine: TSTL and ESAD :-D Guess what those mean
LOL.

Shes much more grown up than I am in some ways.

:-), she's such a sweetie. I keep trying to tell myself the same thing
about Christmas. We haven't seen a white one this century :-(.

ROTFL, those are fun too! Actually they both apply to the troll: Too
Stupid Too Live and Eat Sh*t And Die.

OK, so they're not so very nice LOL. Neither is *it* ;-).

I am sure you will get it, Sarah.  You are very talented in working
with children.

Good luck!
