Well, Im doing Dejablues a copy which she can have if her video and
telly can show PAL. It was repeated tonight so if either you or Aula can
watch PAL tapes you can fight over it :) I'll fill the tapes up with
episodes before I send them over.

its a format for the tv,video, games etc.
the us uses ntsc for viewing television.
the uk and aus/nz uses pal.
basically it means a lot of stuff is not interchangable unless your tv
can handle it.

It's a decoder format for a certain bandwidth, some TV's sold in the US
can support either one. The US uses NTSC, most of Europe uses PAL,
as well as Australia and New Zealand.

it is tape but the US has a different format for telly (something to do
with number of lines on the screen and frame rate I think) than we do.
My parents can watch pal tapes that I send as their telly/vcr can switch
formats but mine cant switch to ntsc so I cant watch their tapes. Worth
looking in your manuals to see if yours can switch :)

If your VCR is less than two years old, then it's likely that it can
support both.
