Boo is going through a very cute phase. every thing we do for him gets a
big 'thank you, lee' or 'thank you daddy', usually accompanied by a kiss.
and i do mean everything! new shoes, bowl of cereal, bath... it's so
sweet.
so far he's not crazy about his new school. 'i want to stat home with
you, lee'. but he is getting into the circle time & reading, so i think
he'll adjust really fast. there are 20 kids (3-5 year olds) in his class,
so it's very overwhelming for him.
the teachers were surprised he can read his name (his coathook & project
drawer have his name on them). i've discovered there are a *lot* of other
words he can sight read: colors, the names of the Thomas engines, and
random words like moon, construction, deisel, caterpiller...
he can spell Boo: line bump bump round round :) he can't write it yet,
of course, but he likes having it written for him.
just thought i'd brag, since sometimes i fuss about what he can't do :)

If you don't mind me asking ... why does your son call you lee? I know, I'm
too nosy.

because mom or mommy was too difficult for him. he does sometimes refer
to me as mommy now, but it's very recent. lee is very easy to say.
he has speech problems. he calls my dad 'granma' & my mom 'other
granma'. we've decided to try to get him to call my dad P.Bear (which is
what *i* call him anyway, so that should help).
oh! one of the funniest things he says is 'articulated tractor'... it
sounds like refrigerator doctor :)
