There is no agent, but

Pan. Pretty close at least and some features make it even better.

It comes with most commercial distros of linux and you can
get the source code and compile it under unix

Thanks Dorothy. I've been asking around here myself, but it turns
out it is really hard for me to install any software on the machine,
since it is (through impossibly complicate threads) really a NASA
property. My jaw fell onto the table when I heard that, since they
have policies such as key-stroke monitoring, e-mail monitoring and
other such scary things. The good thing is that I am excempt, since
the machine was bought through a non-NASA grant, but still....
