I spoke with him last night and he said the same.

Louisiana will get a huge soaking again.

They are in the central meeting place for their teams.

Will do!

He came home dead tired really but better than last year as he was quite
sick last year as well as tired. He is at work today and seems no worse for
the wear except... he shaved his head (I asked him what that was about and
he said "oh we ended up on a Navy ship and the recruiter was there...LOL!)
He gained weight... they ate garbage really and had no access to exercise to
speak of and really no time. He had a beard which he shaved off.
Okay... what is out there now Jen? I hear about tropical storms is that
right... is that where we are now?

Glad to hear your hubby is ok. That must be absolutely exhausting and I
cannot iamgine coming home and going straight to work after that! Phew!
From today's Florida Today:
September 26, 2005
Hurricane center watches three systems
FLORIDA TODAY
Three waves in the tropical Atlantic are being tracked today, and one could
develop as it heads for the Gulf of Mexico later this week.
The National Hurricane Center is watching a westward-moving tropical wave
over the central Caribbean Sea that is producing showers and thunderstorms.
Forecasters say that upper level winds are only marginally conducive for
tropical cyclone formation, but could become more favorable for development
over the next two to three days.
The system is expected to move into the northwestern Caribbean Sea.
The hurricane center is tracking two other systems:
An area of low pressure is located about 1,300 miles east of the
Lesser Antilles. Shower activity with this system remains limited and
upper-level winds are not favorable for development at this time.
A large non-tropical area of low pressure is centered several hundred miles
east of Bermuda. Upper-level winds do not favor tropical cyclone development
with this system.

Okay thanks... dh was asking me about this and I can't make much sense out
of it all on the weather service thingy...
Dh is happy to be home. He took 28 rolls of film to be processed. Probably
half of the pics were no biggy but another half were absolutely mind
boggling.

Glad he is home! That is a big relief for you. Its a bummer he doesn't
get an extra day off to recoup, but I'm sure he'll catch up soon enough.
Rita is now just a tropical depression and scattered up around the
northern/eastern US. The tropics are giving us a breather for the moment,
although there is a new wave that is off the top of South America in the
Southern Caribbean that they are concerned about and watching closely.
There are also 3 waves (tw 45, 46 and 47) that are coming across the
Atlantic off the African coast. TW 46 shows some organization, but its way
to early to say anything.
In general, it looks pretty quiet for this week.
