sorry, just have to complain about getting old and all. I am finding that
having my dominant arm relatively useless for many tasks is a real pain when
cleaning house.  Washing windows [we finally have a clear weekend!]is hard
with one hand since my other one just isn't working well when I reach up
above shoulder level [rotator cuff injury]. Vacuuming is a two handed affair
that I have to think about in order to avoid using my dominant hand
[grrrr......] and we won't even go there in discussing hanging out the
laundry [it's all going in the drier until i have better reach, sorry green
people!].

So, shameless pity me post. There's lots of people out there with much worse
to deal with, but today I am frustrated by myown little limitation, brought
to you by the aging process apparently. grrrrrr.....

The world is a beautiful book for those who can read it.

I can so totally relate.  Last weekend I did "something" to my right wrist.
I'm left handed but soon discovered just how much I use my right hand  I
couldn't grip "anything".  Its only been in the last couple of days that I'm
able to use it without significant pain.  Still some deep aching going on in
there though and the occasional twinge when opening jars or bottles but at
least I can use it again.  I hope you recover quickly.

Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat."we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're
mad.""How do you know I'm mad?". said Alice."You must be," said the Cat,"or
you wouldn't have come here.".

You have the sympathy, but I would advise you to get the rotator cuff
checked out. My GP told me I had a rotator cuff injury, but an X Ray showed
it to be a calcium buildup in the joint. Since I was already geared up to
spend a long time healing, it was a great relief to have it fixed with a
simple cortisone injection into the joint (thankfully, Dr Kanangara, my
specialist, lectures on painless injection techniques and has written a book
for GPs called 'Straight to the Joint, so I didn't feel a thing.

Just get some X Rays or an ultrasound done on the shoulder, because if it is
a calcium buildup and it gets moved into the joint (by reaching too far or
banging the shoulder), the pain you have now will be a fond memory.

Thanks, Rorq.  I will most definitely keep that in mind.  It seems to be
getting worse instead of better, despite my doing the exercises she has
given me.  I don't know if this is because I'm tensing up a lot in the
shoulder or what, but I am considering a trip back to the doc in a few days
if things don't start to show improvement.

Ain't no disgrace to be poor - but might as well be.
