>Wow - preschool and high school, both ends of the spectrum :-)
And everything in between - did Girl Scouts with my dd all through
elementary, middle school and high school.

We were just back due to Hurricane Katrina. Took my dgd to both Shedd
Aquarium and and Field Museum. She loved both. The newest Field
Museum exhibit is the Underground Bugs (My dd actually worked on that
when she lived in Chicago - she's a technical theater person and
briefly worked at the Field Museum just before she left the area).
We also took her to the Museum of Science and Industry and a smaller
Children's Museum in the suburbs. And we visited Lamb's Farm and
Navy Pier with her as well.
I would really love to have stayed in the Chicago area, but my son's
job is down here and so we all returned to Louisiana in November.
If you visit and like theater, I highly recommend *Too Much Light
Makes the Baby Go Blind* (not for kids). It's a uniquely Chicago
show - 30 plays (skits) in 60 minutes. Fun and silly. Some things
might be a bit too Chicago politics for you though. They tend to
be pretty topical on local politics. The Neofuturians are a very odd
bunch of actors and actresses.

Probably

The Underground Bugs sound really neat! Are the beluga whales still at
Shedd? They were my favorite!

My husband and I love to go to comedy clubs when we travel. I think we went
to one called Zaneys(????) when we were in Chicago.
