We really need a new tent as we discovered on our 'grand trip' this
summer that ours was a rather leaky affair. I dont mind rain when
camping but I do object to it raining in the tent :)

Well I decided to look in the online sales today and I found a really
fabby one for £150 reduced from £320. When you consider thats the price
of 2/3 nights in a hotel its not bad at all :) Its got everything we
were looking for, its a really good make and its huge!! Free delivery
and it was dispatched a couple of hours after I ordered it. And all
because its a 2005 model not a 2006 one!! Looking forward to happy
camping :)

so has anyone else got any good bargains in the sales?

lots of bargains there, i've had a think and i think tentings/campings
not my thing after all, we did it too much as kids and i practially
hate camping just for the sake of it now. plus i'm getting on a bit and
like my creature comforts :). thanks for the link though, i'm thinking
about holidays this year and what to do/where to go and i think it'll
have to be a chalet or similar really.

Wonderful deal :-)!

Well, don't just flash by the Netherlands, set up a meeting with Peter,
Ilse and me. We don't live that far from eachother. If we were in the
States we would have met up a long time ago, but we have a different
view on distances LOL.

Well, I'm *trying* not to (sits on hands).

We don't have big sales periods here BTW. One Dutch online shop has some
good deals ATM, but I really shouldn't...

I probably will, though...<sigh>.

Next time we are that way we will have to :)
This summer though we are going to stay in England - ferry prices are
ridiculous :( You are welcome to visit here though :)))

Well please let us know what it looks like and how you think it will work
for you... we need a new one soon and I'm going to have to really work at
before summer.  We are camping sort of folks too.  Ours is full of holes
after about 10 years of use and it's usually flys that get to us not rain!

:) I'll let you know when the weather dries up :) I cant believe it
already arrived this morning! Its quite big when its packaged up and
pretty heavy  - not a touring tent - but thats not what we bought it for.
http://www.culverhouse.co.uk/acatalog/copy_of_Wynnster_Anglesey_Tent.html
is the one though thats not where we got it from :) the bedroom divides
in 2 so K can have her own space. I like the fact that it has an
integral groundsheet so water cant come in from the bottom which we have
had when it gets windy.

Our touring (leaky) tent has a domed bedroom at one end, half a dome
at the other end connected by a tunnel. Its much smaller but it did feel
odd to have Katherine at the opposite end, didnt feel quite safe iykwim.
