Anyone else got completely nutty cats?
Katherine just set up her playmobile then walked out of the room. One of
our cats (who is middle aged) took the opportunity to have a little
play. She hid round the table, waggled her bum, then pounced. Little
playmobile characters were scattered everywhere. A little plastic kitten
was selected to be tossed about the room. It was so funny. Katherines
face when she walked back into the room was a picture!

Yes, our cat, who is moving beyond middle age now as she is fourteen this
month, loves to entice us to play tag with her. She will suddenly decide to
skitter up to one of us [usually me], her back arched, her tail held high,
ears back, then abruptly turn and run away. If one doesn't immediately give
chase, preferably noisily with stomping feet, she will return and repeat the
performance until someone does. When chased, she will run away, leading one
through the house. Then, when we turn away again to return to wherever we
were, she follows, chasing and batting at our heels with her paws [claws not
extended]. She can do this for quite some time before she'll decide she's
had enough! And, if no one can be enticed to play she resorts to running up
and down the stairs stomping loudly! And I do mean stomping! For a eight
pound kitty she can sound like a herd of elephants some days!

But doubt is as crucial to faith as darkness is to light. Without one,
the other has no context and is meaningless. Faith is, by definition,
uncertainty. It is full of doubt, steeped in risk. It is about matters
not of the known, but of the unknown. - Carter Heywood, Reverend and

Aren't they funny to watch sometimes!
An old roommate of mine (well, I was his roomie since it was his home)
had a rottweiler, a Benji and a cat.
The *cat* was the most ornery thing I'd ever seen. He'd pounce on the
rottie's back and launch himself off, causing the rottie to take
chase. Around and around they'd go, next thing I'd see the cat
chasing the dog! Too funny to watch.

I've had 2 that would fall into that "cat" agory. The first one was when we
lived in Hawaii. Her name was KeiKi which is Hawaiian for baby. First, she
loved getting "into" things. Bags, boxes, crock pots.... And second, she
loves "fighting". I'ld hold her head and shake her and she would drop to
her back and grab my wrist with her front and back feet and wrestle. Then
she would jump up and saunter off. She would casually walk behind me (I'm
sitting on the floor for all this) and then pounce on my back. She was
hysterical to watch.
The second one was Shadow. I think I've mentioned her before. She's the
one that got shot and then hit by a car and survived only to get caught in
some barbed wire at the friend's house that was keeping her for us and
bleeding out before she was found. Anyway. She loved playing with shadows.
We would cast shadows on the wall and she would chase them trying to catch
them. She would make fantastic leaps to try and catch them if we put them
higher on the wall. She also loved those plastic grocery bags. She would
crawl into one and lie down. We could pick up the bag by the handles and
carry her around. She loved it.

I have two. Cheesie and Izabelle. Cheesie is a yellow tabby and has a
problem with static electricity. He'll run around and static will build up
in his fur and he literally goes crazy trying to get rid of it, but then the
more he runs the more it builds up! Silly Cat. Izabelle, well I don't think
there is any hope for her. We have sliding glass doors and on our back
porch birds will sit and taunt her.. I am serious when I say taunt her....
well any way she scruches up her back end and leaps, and runs smack into the
glass.
Now when I was little I had a cat I named Pizzazz. She was half himalayan
and siamese. So beautiful. She was the goofiest s**t. She once raced
around the house, hit the popcorn bowl, the popcorn bowl flew up landed
right on top of her. She got freaked and tried to run, lets just say it's
funny to see a bowl running around into things. Then I was getting ready
for school one day and she went to jump on the toilet seat to watch me and I
forgot to put the seatlid down. She was a wet kitty :0)
