Poor DD managed to fall forward from the couch and whack her face on the
table. DH was saying "oh no - she's bleeding, get something - do something"
So I see all this blood on her face and he says "her eye is bleeding"

Well- I *LOST* it - never did before - I was shrieking and jumping around!
Then the phone rang and it was my mom so I scream into the phone "DD got
hurt and her eye is bleeding what do i do" and mom says call 911. So I do
that and i'm all crazy - meanwhile DH determines the cut is next to her eye
and wants a cloth to clean her and stop the bleeding.

Anyway 2 ambulances and 2 police cars come! They take us to the ER and she
got nicelt stitched up after a nice long wait because of a mix-up with the
plastic surgeon's phone service!

We happend to get the same plastic surgeon on call when DD fell and cut her
chin open last year.

So, she is fine but swollen, poor kid. And I am unhappy that I reacted that
way. No "calm, cool and collected" for me last night!

Do all these bang-ups mean no modeling career? (with her potentially growing
over 6 feet tall it's something I can't help thinking of!)

You might want to check the time and date on your computer, because you're
apparently posting from the future.

yeah - DS keeps sabotaging me with that!! Ever play Fish Tycoon? Setting the
computer clock ahead makes your fish grow fast or your research get
completed! LOL

Don't know but it might not be a problem. Judging from DD - all the cuts and
bruises and stitches she had so far - and no scars. Seems kids heal well. But I
can understand your feeling. Was there myself. So I made it a habit to first
say. "Get up" and if she does I can drastically reduce my worries. And yes some
of those cuts look scary when  bleeding. Now she is 10 and still I know I should
have gone into the medical first aid supply business.

Didnt get the op :(

{{{{{Nanner}}}}} have you had chance to do a first aid course?? it might
make these things less scary for you.

K had a *bad* graze right under her eye that she did months ago. I was
really worried it was going to scar. Peeps here suggested vitamin e
capsules squeezed on to the scar amongst other things. She still does
have a scar but it is fading slowly and really only I can notice it now.
It is horrid though isnt it when you think of their lovely soft skin :(

Cedar shingles should be shaved and saved.

It looked like blood was gushing out of her eye socket, I don't think any
training would help a mom in that situation LOL

I have Mederma from her last accident and i think it did help. The scar is
barely noticeable and she is so young that hopefully it will fade as she
grows.

Neosporin seems to be doing a good job here.

We use Dr. Burt's Res-Q Ointment....it is a Burt's Bees product.  Works
well, smells good, not a prescription, not too expensive.  Green, too!
