Got to thinking awhile back that I'm at a point in my life I'd trade
lives with no one.  It's a good feeling really.  I also see some of the
folks I envied that have had it no better than I on the long haul.  But
I do have people I admire and somewhat envy.  Talent and grace are
traits I do long for.

So who is your hero or who has gifts you long for in your life?

My mother is my hero, honestly. I already knew she has done a wonderful
job in raising us, but now that I have kids on my own, I see that job in
a whole new light. She has always been there for me when I really needed
her, and yet taught me to deal with my problems on my own the best way I
can. I hope and pray that I will be able to give my children that kind
of love and strength in life.

That is wonderful Ilse.

I think I have too many hero's to list really.  I was pondering this.
AS I get older I appreciate those who have gone before me so much!

This might be funny....but my husband is my hero. lol

Course I might have helped along the way. But when we met, he was just
puttering along in his job, worked hard but felt unappreciated. In the
5 years we've been together though, he's really stepped out and made
something of himself. We own a good business, 12 pieces of land, horses
(which I've wanted ever since I can remember), and can rest easy in
knowing that our paycheck doesn't depend on who we work for. He has
good money management, a good business head, but gets downright silly
and loves our children.

I admire people who are fearless, and are confident socially. I take
too much to heart, and I admire those who can take a lickin and keep on
ticking.
