You know, y'all *could* send some of that rain over this way.
Kitten, who's happy to have gotten enough rain this morning to wet the
dust

You can have you want! It's been raining an awful lot around here since
July ended. Fall is on its way in the door.

Take some will ya! We've had more than enough, I'm ready for it to lighten
up a bit.
I'll be working tomorrow. Actually, just got off a conference call (yes,
at nearly 10pm) with the OM's to determine that we will stay open. This
one looks like a weenie one, so we'll be treking into the office in the am.
The eye will probably pass about 20 miles or so east of me in the morning.
This will really be more of a rain event, and we are already pretty
saturated from the summer rains. If it weren't for DH pumping the water
out of the back yard daily, Lake LFM would be open for fishing. (the birds
think so!)

yeah, it kind of looked like it was fizzling out, at least as a hurricane,
but you know those news dudes. they just have to have a big story and it is
the anniversary of katrina making land fall and all...... [!] I'm just glad
you guys won't have that much to deal with, although I know lots of rain
there is nothing to sneeze at.

We actually barely got any rain. Watched the radar on and off today and
they kept saying we could get lots of rain and gusts up to 40mph, yet it
seems like the feeder bands all died out before they got to us, even though
the storm moved right over.
Good thing though, DH was able to finish mowing the back yart as it had
finally dried out enough to mow.
