The guests have left, K is curled up on the sofa with milk and a book
and the house is covered in confetti. it was a successful party :)
This year we did a pyjama party. We had 7 of them this time and it was a
good number. I put the party food on the table and told them to help
themselves. Mostly we let them go feral with a game of pass the parcel
and a pinata. We did have Ice age 2 on as it was kind of a popcorn and
movie party. They really enjoyed it but didnt watch it all.
For the latter half we put on the disco ball and bubble machine and
turned the music up. I had fairy lights up. I'd found a website that
does glow in the dark stuff so I festooned the kids with flashing
pendants and glow stick bracelets. I even found glow stick drinking straws.
Only one mishap - a trapped finger that went a spectacular colour but
fortunately she could wiggle it without crying so I didnt need to call
her Mum.

Forgot to say as I rushed off to say goodnight to the party girl. At the
end they were all getting a bit tired. In the past I've followed the
custom round here of letting K open the presents after the party. This
time I let her open them while her friends were there. It was so much
nicer. They all huddled round her and they all got a lot of enjoyment
out of it. It was so nice to see so many friends cuddled up close really
enjoying being together :)

A lonesome quiet settles upon Palace Kiticat after the Fury of
Seven...
;)
Sleepovers are a blast for the kids because letting 'em go feral is
so much easier than organizing the events down to the minute. Here's
hoping you get your rest while K gets hers.
Happy Hippos from Clan Ranger to Katherine.

The best bit was that they got kicked out at 8pm to sleep in their own
beds, they just came to the party in their pjs <EG> I'm not utterly
insane to have so many sleeping over!!! Feral was good though, I
remembered you posting about that :)
